The Smith family lived in the house from 1925, when Carson was 8 years old, until 1944. The house, at 1519 Stark Avenue, is located on a quiet residential street in the Wildwood Circle / Hillcrest Historic District in Columbus, Georgia.

The Smith/McCullers House Museum is open for tours by appointment. Please contact Cathy Fussell, 706 568-2054, to schedule a tour.
